Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP)

Thermo Fisher provides you with the opportunity to receive a dollar-for-dollar match on deferrals in the Plan, up to 6% of your “match-eligible compensation.”1 Generally, match-eligible compensation is your total cash compensation in the calendar year that exceeds the IRS limit on compensation recognized in the 401(k) plan.

  • Defer your annual base salary and/or your annual incentive bonus
  • Choose investment options similar to the Thermo Fisher Scientific 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
  • Enjoy flexibility in how and when deferred compensation is distributed
  • Be vested immediately
  1. If you are hired on or after March 1, 2023, a one-year waiting period for employer match will apply.

How to Participate

To participate in the DCP, you must enroll online with Newport Group during the annual enrollment period, or upon being notified of eligibility.
