Supplemental Health Coverage

In addition to your medical plan options, you can also choose from supplemental health plans to provide additional financial support. These plans are administered by Voya. Additional details on each plan can be found on MyBenefits.

Hospital Indemnity Plan

The Hospital Indemnity Plan pays you tax-free for the first day of admission ($1,100) and for each day spent in the hospital thereafter to help offset expenses. Benefit amounts range from $50 – $250 per day for a maximum of days and vary based on the type of hospitalization. You can use the money however you choose and can elect coverage for yourself or your family.

Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance pays up to a maximum of $200,000 tax-free for a covered colleague’s or covered family member’s accidental injuries or death. Benefit amounts and limits vary based on the type of care and coverage level (colleague, spouse/domestic partner or child), with a set amount for death.

  • Death
  • Ground Ambulance
  • Hospital Admission
  • Prosthetic Device
  • Torn Knee Cartilage
  • Upper Arm Fracture

Critical Illness Plan

Serious illness, such as heart attack or stroke, can be life-changing. Consider extra financial protection with the Critical Illness plan. You can choose coverage for yourself, your spouse/domestic partner or children, with tax-free benefits paid in a lump sum upon diagnosis. Critical Illness coverage works in addition to your medical coverage.

These Voya benefits are not designed to replace Thermo Fisher medical coverage. Instead, they provide extra financial support on top of your medical coverage to help alleviate the financial burden.

Annual Wellness Benefit

Complete an eligible health screening test – such as an annual physical – and receive a $50 benefit payment (payable only once per year) directly from Voya.
